1. What are the hours of operation?

2. Why does my bank statement report a charge from the City of Folsom Parks and Recreation, even though I went to the Folsom Sports Complex, Aquatic Center, or Zoo?

The Sports Complex, Zoo, and Aquatic Center all use the same registration and payment system. All payments will be reported as the City of Folsom Parks and Recreation regardless of where a payment was made.

3. What is your cancellation policy?

If cancelling an activity 14 days prior to the start of the activity, there is a $10 cancellation fee applied and the remainder of the amount paid will be put back on the card you originally used or if you paid by check or cash, the city will send a reimbursement check out.

  • If you are cancelling less than 14 days prior to the start of the activity, you will be charged the $10 cancellation fee and the remainder of the amount paid will be applied to your household account. The money on your household account can be used for activity registration or at any of our other Parks and Recreation Locations.
    • If you are cancelling the day the activity began or after the activity has already begun, there is not refund given.
4. I need to purchase an alcohol permit. How do I go about getting one?

They are $10 and you may purchase one at any of our locations.

5. Can I register for an activity in person? If so, what are your office locations and times?

Yes, you can register at the following locations:

  • Senior and Art Center, 48 Natoma Street. Open Monday through Friday, 9am-4:30pm. Closed Weekends. May be closed on holidays.
    • Folsom Sports Complex, 66 Clarksville Road. Open every day from 10am-10pm. May be closed on holidays.
6. Do I have to pay for an activity at the time of registration? What forms of payment do you take?

Yes. Payment in full is due at time of registration. We are unable to hold a spot in an activity without full payment.

    We accept Cash, Checks and all Major Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express) at all of our locations.

7. How do I sign up for Recreation Outdoor Soccer in Folsom?
The Folsom Soccer Club Information Line is 916-558-0558, and their web address is www.folsomsoccerclub.org.

8. What birthday party options do you offer?

Splash Bash Birthday Party Package (Memorial Day - Labor Day)

  • Birthday parties at the Folsom Aquatic Center are guaranteed fun! The party package includes: 20 admission to the Aquatic Center; shaded area with tables and chairs; napkins, plates, cups, and utensils; punch or lemonade to drink; Round Table pizza; Baskin Robbins birthday cake; and, an Aquatic Center staff member as your party host.
  • Birthday party times are 1:15 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. or 4 p.m. - 6 p.m., Monday - Sunday.
  • Aquatic Center birthday parties are $279.
    • Elite Birthday Party Package (Memorial Day - Labor Day)
    • Looking for that special birthday party experience? The Folsom Aquatic Center Elite Birthday Party Package provides use of the Folsom Aquatic Center before the facility opens to the general public! Parties are available Saturday mornings only and spaces are limited! Elite Parties are scheduled from 10:15 a.m. - Noon.
      • Aquatic Center Elite Birthday parties are $359.
        • Inflatable Madness Birthday Party Package
        • Enjoy the giant inflatable obstacle courses - Kiwi and The Beast, or Montee - at your private party after the pool closes to the public... no waiting in lines! Come have an unforgettable birthday party that you and your friends will remember forever.
          • Includes: All of the same food and party services as the Splash Bash Party, and you may bring additional food items of your choice. Pool use is limited to the giant inflatable area only.
            • Party Times: Friday/Saturday/Sunday, 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. (this party is recommended for ages 7+; all participants must be able to swim at least 25 yards without a life jacket to play on the inflatables.

Registration Questions:

1. Why am I unable to get my password and username when I request it?

You may not have an email address attached to your household or the email address we have for you may be an old one. You will need to call one of our Parks and Recreation locations to assist you.

2. I would like to set up a Household Account so I can register online. How do I do this?

From the Home screen, select the option "Create an Account" on the top right hand side of the screen. When registering a participant other than yourself online, make sure to create the household using the guardian’s name as the primary….NOT the child/participant you are trying to register. The child can then be added to your household as an additional member.

3. Why am I getting a message saying “No family members are able to purchase this item” when I add an item to my cart?

Possible Issues:

  • The household member you are trying to enroll is outside of the accepted age range.
  • The birthdate for the household member you are trying to enroll is incorrect.
  • There is no birthdate associated with the household member you are trying to enroll.
  • The person you are trying to enroll is not on your household account.

You can fix any of the above issues by selecting "Update Account Details" in the home screen. From there, you can add new family members or update birthdate information.

4. Why won't the item add to my cart after I select it?.

After selecting an item, a yellow bar should appear in the middle of your screen. It will ask you either to "Add to Cart" or "Clear Selection". Select add to cart and you should be able to proceed with checkout.

5. Why can’t I find the activity on the web when I am putting in the activity code from the guide?

Please use only the first 6 digits of the code and not the dash or the numbers following the dash to lookup an activity.

If you are having trouble registering on the web on a weekend or after hours, please call the Folsom Sports Complex at (916)-984-2850. They are open 7 days a week, except for holidays, until 10PM and they should be able to help you register.

6. How do I cancel an activity?

To cancel a class you will have to call one of our Parks and Recreation locations. Anyone at these locations can assist you in cancelling the activity.

7. Why can't I find the activity I'm looking for when I do a keyword search for it?

Be sure that all of the other filters (types, categories, ages, etc.) have "All" or "Any" highlighted so you are not filtering out your activity.

8. How do I add an item to my wishlist?

In the activity listing you will see information such as the price, dates, and location. Next to this information on the right you will see a small button that has a star on it. Pressing this button will add this activity to your wishlist. You can view the items in your wishlist by clicking on the link in the top right corner of the screen.

9. I accidentally enrolled the wrong family member in an activity. What should I do?

Please call us at one of our locations so we can correct this for you. You will not be able to switch the family member online.

10. Why is there a red “x” by the class I would like to register for?

If you place your curser over the “x” it will list the reason. Some examples might be that the maximum number of participants has been reached or that the class has started. Please call (916)355-7285 for help if you would still like to try to register.

11. I’m trying to register my child for a class and it says something like “No family members are able to purchase this item. Ages between 7 through 12.99. My child is 8. Why can’t I register?

Go to the “My Account” tab and check to see if your child’s date of birth is listed. To update this, click on “Update” > “Household & Member”, add the date of birth and click “Save.” If you still need assistance, please call (916)355-7285 or (916)984-2850.

12. Why do I need to enter my date of birth?

Many of the classes we offer have age restrictions. You will not be able to register for these classes unless you have your date of birth entered under your member information.

13. I signed up for an activity but did not receive a copy of the receipt. How do I go about getting a copy?

Go to the “My Account” tab and click on “Reprint A Receipt.” You may also call us at one of our locations and we can email you a receipt or you may stop by and we can print one out for you.

14. I believe I was charged twice for an activity. What do I do?

Please call our Parks and Recreation Office as soon as possible so they can verify the charges and process a refund if necessary. They can be reached at (916)355-7285.

15. I have money on my Household Account. Will that money expire if I do not use it?

NO. Your credit does not expire and can be used at any of our locations.

16. How do I switch an activity to a different time or date?

To cancel or transfer a class you will have to call one of our Parks and Recreation locations. Anyone at these locations can assist you in changing the activity.
