Meaningful Moments: Techniques for Dementia Care - 249007

Presented by Empire Ranch Alzheimer's Special Care Center
Caring for a loved one with dementia poses many challenges for families and caregivers. People with dementia have a progressive brain disorder that makes it more and more difficult for them to remember things, think clearly, communicate with others, and take care of themselves. Please join Christina Hollingsworth, Program Director at Empire Ranch for education and tips incorporating the philosophy of Naomi Feil’s validation techniques. By incorporating the validation techniques, you can truly improve the quality of life for the person with dementia and you the caregiver. This is a Free open meeting, but RSVP’s are appreciated as refreshments will be provided.
